With more and more sound engineers looking to work in the live sector our 4 Day Pro Live Sound Course will give you both the skills to start live sound engineering straight away and also additional advanced skills to take your mix to the next level.

Who is the course aimed at?
We pack a great deal into our 4 day course and finish it off with chance to engineer live musicians at the end. This course combines all the key elements from our very popular two day live sound course along with digital mixing and some additional more advanced topics. It is aimed at those who want a thorough understanding of live sound engineering and possibly a career in it. It is also for those that want to operate the sound equipment as part of their job or hobby. This could be a musician in band, a teacher within a school, a theatre or AV engineer or just an enthusiast who wants to try something new!

The course includes essential in-depth theory on the principles of sound, acoustics and gain structure and from this moves onto explaining all about the equipment, components and settings you should use. There is in-depth training on patching in and using the mixing desk, understanding and using EQ, Grouping, Routing, using the Matrix and Recording a live mix. We teach about setting and creating monitor mixes show how to conquer feedback and using a variety of ringing out techniques including using modern day apps. We then teach the micing up of essential instruments such as guitars, bass, drums and keyboards. This is followed by detailed training on using all of todays outboard equipment such as Gates, Compressors, Graphics and we teach using both our 40 channel analogue and 24 channel digital desks. Whilst the majority of the course is practical we bring in some musicians on the last day to go over and practice all that you have learnt so by the end of the 4 days you will be ready to start making a living as a sound engineer!
